Huawei recently dethroned Apple as the second major smartphone manufacturer in terms of device shipments across the world. In case you didn’t know – according to a report by Canalys, Huawei shipped 54 million handsets in Q2 of this year with a whopping 41% growth compared to its performance last year.

A week after that, the official press renders for Huawei Mate 20 lite surfaces. Let us take a closer look at the press renders:

It is clear that Huwaei is gearing up to beat Samsung to become the best smartphone manufacturer (in terms of sales). Well, it is not going to be that easy – but with the current growth rate – it is quite possible.

Of course, the official press renders confirm the presence of the notch (which some of you might hate – I know right!). But, we also have information on the specifications. So, let’s get right into it.

Huawei Mate 20 Lite Specifications

The Huawei Mate 20 Lite is expected to have the latest Kirin 710 Octa-core SoC, which was revealed along with Huawei’s Nova 3i smartphone. It is meant to compete with the upcoming Snapdragon 700 series of SoCs. Huawei Mate 20 lite features a 6.3-inch screen (that is flattering!).

As usual, it is very likely that it will offer up to 6 Gigs of RAM along with a 64 GB internal storage (with the base model). It’s unclear whether or not it will offer an SD card slot – let’s hope for the best.

To let you capture the best moments, it will pack in a dual-lens camera (20 MP + 2 MP) on the rear side and a 24 MP + 2 MP sensor on the front side as well.

It also comes packed with a battery juice of 3650 mAh. Unfortunately, it’s going to be equipped with Bluetooth v4.2.

Although there’s no confirmation on the price, but the sources hint at around $400 for the base model.
